Sunday is the day! That means 5 days and counting. I am both nervous and excited for Sunday to get here. I have been planning this hike for 6 months and thinking about it for as long as I can remember. There is lots to do in the next few days which is good because it will give me less time to be nervous. The weather forecast for Sunday at Amicalola Falls is rainy and 53 degrees, so hopefully the weather man guessed wrong and it will rain Saturday and be 70 degrees and sunny on Sunday.
Disaster was averted today, as I was going through my gear I found that my water filter was broken. Thanks to the the good people at Katadyn for helping me out. They are sending me a new filter body, which will fix my problem, even though they are in the middle of inventory and not sending product out right now.
