After Leaving Trail Days, Hedge Hog and my self, hiked in the rain for waht seemed liked 7 days finally catching up with Stix! in what was really 2 days! We stayed in a very cool shelter, Chestnut Knob Shelter, It was four sided and had windows and doors! The shelter was very cramped and I ended up sleeping on the floor under a bunk Stixs was in. But not complaints here as it was the hardest night of rain we have had yet!
On a slightly more awesome not I won Second place in a homemade gear contest at Trail Days! I entered my Trap that I have sewn myself and my prize for winning second place in a bit of irony I won a Trap! So Hedge Hog now the proud new owner of a Etowah Designs 8X10 grey sil nylon tarp!
Hiking has been going well and I am astonished every day how the miles are falling off! I will be to Kathdin in no time!
On Friday night Hedge Hog and self stayed at Woods Hole Hostle. It is a unique log cabin that has been transformed into a hike hostle and is run by the grandaughter of the Tillie Woods!
Currently i a zeroing ( a day without hiking) in Pearisburg ( pronunced Paris - burg) and will be heading north Tomarrow morning bright and early!
